Re: Treatment given by school to children suffering from Dyslexia On December 8, 1997 a meeting was held in the cabin of Honourable Minister, Trade and Commerce, Cultural Affairs, Ports, Protocol & Prohibition Propoganda, Shri Pramod Navalkar. As per the points raised by the members present at the meeting, following notice is being issued. Students suffering from Dyslexia or Dyscalculia should be given adequate guidance and help in school admission. They should be given good treatment by the Principal and teachers by which they would not develop any inferiority complex. Principals at your level should be notified regarding this. The various benefits to be given to students as per the Government order should also be suggested to the Principals. While checking schools, the checking officer should get information of such students and check whether they are getting adequate benefits. Henceforth, if such students or their parents come to you for help in securing admission, the required help should be given.
