Art for Prabhat
Artworks from Art for Prabhat 2006"A thing of beauty is a joy forever"
And this is truer when the journey that led to the creation is explored.
"Art for Prabhat" is one such journey of which
the Art for Prabhat 2006 show was a landmark. The sparks of a dynamic
synergy between the retarded and the genius unfolded as our youngsters
(shunned, ridiculed, and isolated by society on account of their intellectual
disability) created a canvas for the artist (creative, imaginative, loved
and revered) to further develop into a thing of beauty.
The Canvas - 300 gsm art quality, acid free, handmade paper made from recycled waste painstakingly sheet by sheet. The Painter - Sensitive geniuses who show the world that anything is possible.
"Art for Prabhat" is an ongoing attempt to provide opportunities for society to join hands with people with intellectual challenges. We conduct 3-4 group shows each year.Eminent artists like Jogen Chowdhury, Anjolie Ela Menon, Yusuf Arakkal, Arpana Caur, Neeraj Goswami, GR Iranna and many others have endorsed our paper and helped make this attempt to mainstream the work of these youngsters possible.
