Barrier Free Tourism for People with Disabilities

SAMARTHYA - Yatra with a Difference
Ten per cent of the Indian population ie about 100 million persons are suffering
from one of the other kind of disability. Education and employment is essential
for their rehabilitation and leading a normal life. Recreational activities
and entertainment receive the lowest attention in the agenda for People
with Disabilities (PWD) rehabilitation. It is taken up as some kind of "fun"
activity, a get-together, cultural programme or an outdoor visit.
