Reason to Hope:

Aditya - Walk on...

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share with you a little about myself.

I am Aditya and 14 years old. I live at Vakola, Santacruz (East). I travel to school on my own. Dilkhush, my school is at Juhu. I take two B.E.S.T. Buses to get to school i.e. Bus No. 618 and 231.

Now I am learning to travel to my grandfather's place at Wadala and to my friend Pranay's house at Juhu.

I like my school. I study a lot. I learn many things in my school like English, Maths, Time and Money. We also read the newspaper and get to know what is happening in India and the world. We also learn to sing and dance and play games. Children from Jamnabai and A.V.M. schools come to Dilkhush. We play games with them. Sometimes we visit their schools too.

I would like to visit my brother's school and meet my brothers friends. I would like to be friends with my brother friends. I like to use the computer, I am learning to type and play games. Soon I will be attending computer class in Bandra.

According to me inclusion in every school should be encouraged. Inclusion has both the pros and cons. It helps in social interaction. It makes us smart. Helps us develop confidence. But at the same time we are afraid of being pointed at or treated differently. We looked upon with pity, Why?? We want acceptance for what we are.

In spite of all these drawbacks I would still want to be included as one of you all.
