New Delhi: McDonald’s CSR
McDonald-India has launched its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) the ‘Each One, Contribute One’ programme for the visually and economically challenged, as part of its annual fundraiser ‘World Children Week’. As part of their campaign, Re 1 will be contributed on the sales of all meals sold towards the corrective eye surgery of the children.
Minister for Women and Child Development, Renuka Choudhary launched the campaign by being the first donor.
World Children’s Week is organized annually in association with the sight saving NGO, Orbis International and Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital. As part of this event, 390 children have benefited from vision correction surgeries.
Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary said, “This is amazing that a private entity has come forward for a noble cause and they deserve my heartiest congratulations.”
