Guwahati: Visually Challenged Model at a Special Fashion Show
At a time when visually challenged Delhi's Diwakar is mesmerizing the nation with his voice at a popular singing competition, a few similarly challenged youth have taken on the ramp here. In what the organizers claim to be the first-of-its-kind, several blind models walked the ramp in a fashion show at the Pragjyoti ITA Centre.
The blind models, mostly students from different parts of the State, were supported by professional models in showcasing young designer Himangshu Bora's creations.
The fashion show, which was slated at an earlier date but had to be rescheduled, had in its audience a match of cultural, social and political activists. The organizers, 'The Heaven,' had announced that a part of the earnings from the fashion show would be used for the cause of blind students.
