Bangkok: Where there is a will.. there is a way..

‘Where there is a will there is a way’- Thailand’s 48-year-old Chelyu Sonklin vindicated this adage by continuing his job as a truck-driver even after losing both his feet.

He was, however not born with any disability. A road accident led to this unfortunate state of affairs. He has a 13-year-old son and daughter. In spite of his ill-luck, he renewed his courage and opened a garage which had to be closed due to the treacherous nature of work and the potential threat to the environment.

Thus, he was compelled to become a truck driver all over again. To make his task easier he redesigned the interior of the truck to accommodate his difficulties. It was difficult to drive in the initial days but with the help and support he received from the traffic authorities with regard to renewal of his license, things have become viable again.
