Jaipur: Where the mind is held high

There heart was filled with passion… their minds were imbrued with ardour…. What could then stop them from achieving their goals? This enthusiasm was evident amongst participants of tenth marathon tri-angle competition held in Jaipur.

This competition, organized with the aid of ‘Pardesh Sarvodaya Viklanga Seva Samiti’ witnessed the participation of about fifty contestants from about ten districts. The first phase saw the participation of female contestants, who traversed the distance from Ramanivas Baaga to J.K. Lone Hospital.

While Meena Danny (Gujarat) and Savitri (Jaipur) secured first positions, Santosh Tinaker (Jaipur) stood second and Chamba Devi (Jaipur) secured third position. The second phase witnessed the participation of make contestants who traversed the distance from Ramanivas Baag to Jawahar Circle.

The competition was inaugurated by speaker of Bharatiya Janata Party, Kailash Nath Bhat. The chief guest on the occasion KVA Vyasa arranged shirts for the contestants. Amongst male contestants Vaidya Veer Sharma (Bharatpur) stood first, BR Aajnelu (Andhra Pradesh) stood third. The officer in-charge Abhay Tiwari mentioned that witness would be awarded on May 9, 2006.

While expectations were rife that Prithvi Singh, who holds a record of winning tri-cycle race incessantly, would secure first spot (due to last minute glitches), he came in third. .
