Dr. Bharti Bansal
Dr. Bharti Bansal is a Neurophysician. What makes this achievement even more special is the fact that she is a woman and is disabled. Bharti was paralysed in childhood, which affected her face and right hand but this did not deter her pursuit of knowledge.Today, in Agra, there are three other neuro-physicians other than Dr. Bharti Bansal - but her colleagues are males. When asked how she reached such a high position despite her limitations, she answers that the topic of neurology was the output of her brain, which was brighter and stronger and better than most others.
Bharti also has a talent for painting, which she uses her left hand to make. During her college days she had exhibited in a solo exhibition. She says that if she had not become a Doctor then she would have definitely been a painter.
She shares a very good relationship with her patients. Her father Dr. RG Bansal says that her daughter is hardworking and disciplined since her childhood - the main reason for her academic success from her early years. She cleared her medical exams in first attempt. In MBBS she was honoured with gold medals for Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
