Works of Tagore in Braille
Webel Mediatronics Limited, a subsidiary company of the state owned West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited, released Rabindranath's Sanchayita in braille for blind schools in the State.
The company has also developed electronic transcription systems, Bharati Braille and Braille Writer, that convert 12 Indian languages and English into braille and vice versa, said Mr Aloke Mookherjea, chairman, WBEIDC.
Another application, Math Braille, that facilitates braille transcription of Mathematics books and scientific texts into braille, has also been developed, he added.
